8/11 Same great ride -- same great price. Call or email your order today!8/04 The idea of stocking tires and tubes began when some of my customers reported that they were having a hard time finding the 29" tires and tubes for their Roshambo's. Rather than leave them subject to the whim of some bike shop that refused to step up and give them the good service they were looking for -- we decided to step up and take care of them ourselves. The straw that broke the camels back was when a customer (and friend) of mine went to a shop on University Ave in Berkeley (I won't mention any names) a couple blocks down from the UC campus. He was looking for a 29" tube for his newly purchased Roshambo. The fellow that was working the floor that day told him that they don't carry anything that has to do with 29" because the 29" thing it's just "stupid". From that time on we decided to seize the opportunity and stock all of our favorite 29" tires and tubes. While we were at it we figured it would be a good idea to stock our favorite cross, road and MTB tires as well. Although they might not be listed on the order pages at present they are in stock. All one needs to do is inquire and we are glad to serve you. 7/04 We are “in stock” with almost all of our production frames and forks and are setting our sites on finally bringing Luscious to market. By mid to late August one can hope to actually become a proud owner of the first limited run. It will be the first “complete” frameset to be built here in Nevada City. Were pretty excited. Get on the waiting list! Speaking of excited, we are all sitting around here with our fingers crossed in hopes that Lance will win his sixth Tour De France. From all of us here at the Kelly factory -- Good luck Lance!!!!! 6/04 In the weeks prior Public Works was out patching up the streets making sure the course was nice and smooth for the racers. Duane, Connie and the whole crew over at the Tour of Nevada City Bike Shop were completely swamped what with the race preparations and all the last minute details on top of running their day to day business. Hats off to all of you for another great Classic! Can’t wait till next year! 5/04 NCPD Officer Steve Ford and Police Chief Lou Travato headed the project. By late May we issued two construction yellow Roshambo’s. “The guy’s like being out on the bikes and are able to do their jobs in some ways better that they could in the squad cars,” said Police Chief Travato. “They are much more upwardly mobile in the tight confines of the busy Nevada City streets and are much less intimidating to people,” said Officer Ford, “it really makes us that much more assertive too”. From what I can see the Bike Patrol Officers out there doing better at their jobs, helping people, making friends, getting fit, and enjoying their work. In my book these are all good things. Keep up the good work guys! 4/04 Meanwhile the Kelly Girls, Dorothy & Stella show up at the Sea Otter to represent. Robin, Emma (the newest Kelly Girl) & myself attended as well to catch up with some of our industry friends and family. This was Emma’s first bike race. She had a good time and made all kinds of new friends. Stella won the single speed race on Sunday and Do 3/04 rothy finished in the top 20 overall -- a personal best for Dorothy. Though we didn’t set up the tent this trip, I think everyone had a good time and Kelly had a pretty good Sea Otter.
