Dorothy Wong 4th at US CycloCross Nationals
Portland Oregon -- Kelly Factory Team rider Dorothy Wong sloshes and slogs her way to a 4th place podium finish in the Masters 40-44 class at the USCF Cyclocross National Championships held in Portland Oregon.
Like any other average day in Oregon one could expect conditions nothing less than desirable for cross – very muddy, rain and more rain.

Dorothy who rode 10 seconds off the lead the first few laps of the race was caught off guard like a deer in the headlights as she was cresting one of the many large mounds of mud by the strong flash of a photographer’s camera.

“I’m really surprised because camera flash has never bothered me before, but this one time I must have been looking right at it when it went off,” explained Wong, “By the time I got up and got it together, a few of the girls had passed me so worked my way up to 4th” -- it’s cool though, I still had a lot of fun and the other girls were really great”.
