Sizing a frame

Every builder, every shop has a different theory - All, are based on the same principles.

Take a look at the bike you ride now. The most crucial measures to take are:

  1. From the center of your bottom bracket (A) to the top of your saddle.
  2. From the center of your seat tube line to the center of your handlebar (C) on a horizontal line to the ground.

With those two numbers I can pretty much build a bike to fit. But, we take a few more factors down to make sure those numbers are good. These include:

  1. The measure from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube (B)
  2. Your height
  3. Your inseam
  4. Your weight
  5. Your build (long arms, long waisted, etc.)
  6. and, your riding style (where and what type of terrain do you ride)
