All one has to do is show up at a local bicycle race on any given Sunday to realize just how much raw talent is out there.

We @ Kelly salute the many devoted and talented riders that show up at these weekend events all through the year -- year after year.

Stella Wins Cream Puff

Oakridge, Oregon USA– Kelly Factory Rider Stella Carey one speeds her way to the top of the podium for the second year in a row at the Cascade Cream Puff Mountain Bike Race.
After 100 miles of rugged off road terrain and a grueling 18,000 feet of climbing Stella rolls across the line with an overall winning finish time of 11:01 -- beating her last years winning time of 11:45 and second place finisher Cristina Begy riding for Spot Brand who’s time was 12:06.
While most riders show up on geared bikes, Stella along with a few other women riders choose to do it on their one speeds to duke it out not only for the overall or One Speed class win but for the prestigious and generous “MC Hammer Bonus”. The “MC” in this case stands for Matt Chester (proud sponsor and official frame builder of the Cream Puff) who pulls 400 bucks (cash) from his own pocket to the first Single Speed overall winner.

“It sure is a nice bonus for all the effort you put out in this race”, said Carey, “and it bought a lot of Big Mac’s on the long drive home”, she concluded as she smiled.

From everyone at Kelly Bike Company special thanks go out to the Cream Puff promoter Don Person for putting on an awesome race / event and a great spread at the awards ceremony / dinner. Also to Matt Chester for putting up such a handsome and generous “MC Hammer Bonus” – truly a good thing.
